Tavira Island Beach
Tavira Island is a sandy island with 11 kilometres in length, located to the south of the town of Tavira, and is a part of Ria Formosa Natural Park. Its high environmental quality is attested annually with a Blue Flag certification, and Ria Formosa’s small water channels, adjacent to the island, are great spots for the study and observation of marine birds.

Barril Beach, also known as Armação beach or beach of the Three Brothers, is located to the west of Santa Luzia and the southeast of Tavira, and is one of the beaches of Tavira Island.
Its landscape is formed by Serra do Caldeirão to the north and Cerro de São Miguel to the northwest, and is complemented to the south by Ria Formosa’s small water channels, the Atlantic ocean and the dunes of Tavira Island.
Green beach is a white sand beach with clear waters, located in Castro Marim. This jewel of the Algarve stands between Alagoa beach and Cabeço/Retur beach and is sheltered by a pine forest to the west.
The ruins of a roman well can be found by the sea.
